一、个人简介
威尼斯人最新官网教授、博士生导师（广州外国语学院英语文学学士、外国语言学及应用语言学硕士、英国Exeter大学教师教育硕士、香港城市大学语言教育哲学博士）、广东省政协委员、广州外国语协会名誉会长、中国英汉语比较研究会外语教师教育和发展专业委员会副主任、中国英汉语研究会写作教学与研究专业委员会常务理事、中国教育人类学专业委员会常务理事、广东省高等教育教师发展示范中心副主任。曾任香港中文大学博士后研究员、英国剑桥大学特聘校外博士生导师、“南粤优秀教师”、威尼斯人最新官网第一届教学特等奖“翼群奖”得主、第一届师德标兵、SSCI 期刊“语言学与教育”副主编（2000-2005）等。
曾数十次被邀在美国、英国、澳大利亚、香港、大陆召开的国际或全国学术会议上做大会主题发言。并在许多国家一流大学和机构做学术讲座，包括：哈佛、剑桥、巴斯、利兹、兰开斯特、欧洲商学院、乔治敦、港大、港中大、中国科学院。还担任多家学术期刊和出版社的审稿人，英美多个大学的博士论文评委和终身教授评委。
在教育人类学、跨文化研究、对比修辞、应用语言学、教师发展等领域都有丰硕的成果，在美国《人类学与教育》季刊和法国《教育与社会》季刊上的论文被评为其领域中近期重大影响的成果。被社会科学（SSCI）、心理学、社会学、人类学、语言学、教育学、哲学等十八个国际权威学术摘录索引文献收录。专著“单位与公民社会的碰撞：教改者的真实故事”（2004，北大出版社）是国内英语教育和教师发展界使用民族志的先锋，被多家世界名校选作研究生阅读经典。

概要介绍：
基于长期的教学法改革和教师发展的实践，采用中国社会学、人类学、跨文化语篇系统、实践共同体等理论，拓展了外语教学和研究的边界，建立了自己以中国单位体制文化和共同体实践为中心的理论。揭示了转型中的中国语境下的教学法改革、教师发展、写作修辞、高等教育国际化等，在实践共同体层面的人类学和微政治的建构本质。通过融合中国社会学、心理学、文化人类学、交际和修辞等理论和概念，对相对偏重于教学和学习方法、技术、效率层面的应用语言学，进行了系统的跨学科拓展和本土化应用。在国际学界发出了中国声音，输出了中国话语。在方法论上（1998-2000）成功地使用了人类学民族志，在国际学界被认为是该方法的典范，在中国大陆引进、示范质性研究过程中起到了重要作用。

- 作为广东省政协委员、致公党省委委员、欧美留学生会常务理事、大学侨联主 席，积极参与参政议政，将科研服务作用于各种建言献策，共提交二十几个 省级报告，得到了政府多部门的重视和立项。
总之，在国际学术界，特别是应用语言学、教育人类学、跨文化高等教育等领域，为讲好中国故事、增强中国话语权、输出中国话语，发挥了重要作用。

五、社会公益
作为广东省政协委员，威尼斯人最新官网致公党主委、侨联主席，积极参政议政，为促进社会改革发展做出贡献。
2022年两会，代表八大民主党派之一的致公党发言，近千名政协委员中仅10人左右代表发言。呼吁广东应创新体制机制，加快集聚海外人才，助推粤港澳大湾区高水平人才高地建设。建议将港澳创新创业扶持政策分别延伸至两个合作区。
作为省政协委员，近五年提交的19份提案全部立项，提案主题涵盖学术交流、青少年教育、职业教育、国际化办学、一线教师发展政策等。
